Design Engineer - MEP (HVAC) :

- About the Role : - Key Responsibilities :

- Perform HVAC load calculations using industry-standard methodologies and software in accordance with ASHRAE guidelines.

- Design and develop HVAC systems, including:

- Air Distribution Systems

- Duct Sizing and Routing

- Ventilation Systems

- Fresh Air Calculations

- Exhaust Systems

- Select HVAC equipment, including:

- Air Handling Units (AHU)

- Fan Coil Units (FCU)

- Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems

- Chillers

- Pumps

- Ventilation Equipment

- Prepare HVAC design deliverables, including:

- Layout Drawings

- Sections

- Schematics

- Single-Line Diagrams (where applicable)

- Perform static pressure and External Static Pressure (ESP) calculations.

- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), technical specifications, and equipment schedules.

- Ensure designs comply with applicable international codes and standards, including:

- ASHRAE

- SMACNA

- NFPA

- International Code Council (ICC)

- Coordinate designs with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Architectural, and Structural teams.

- Participate in client meetings, address technical queries, and provide engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.

- Review shop drawings, vendor submissions, and design documents to ensure technical accuracy and compliance.

- Support value engineering initiatives and recommend energy-efficient design solutions.





- Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality standards.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering .
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC design engineering.
- Strong understanding of HVAC design principles, calculations, and system selection.
- Experience in designing HVAC systems for Commercial, Residential, or Data Center projects.
- Good knowledge of ventilation design, fresh air calculations, and air distribution systems.
- Familiarity with international building codes and engineering standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Excellent communication and client interaction abilities.

Software Skills :

- AutoCAD - Mandatory
- Revit MEP - Preferred
- HAP / E20 / Trace 700 (or equivalent HVAC load calculation software) - Preferred
- Microsoft Excel - Advanced proficiency

Preferred Skills :

- Experience working on US-based or other international projects .
- Knowledge of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination .
- Understanding of sustainable building design, energy efficiency, and green building practices.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) / BIM 360 will be an added advantage.
