US Accountant

Job Summary

Local POS Depot is looking for an experienced US Accountant to join our Ahmedabad team and support our US-based operations and clients.

This is an on-site position in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad .

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain the general ledger and perform day-to-day bookkeeping for US-based clients.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) .
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Process payroll and perform payroll reconciliations.
- Assist with US sales tax and payroll tax compliance.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Coordinate with CPAs and other professionals during tax filings and audits.
- Generate financial and management reports using accounting software.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Ensure accounting activities comply with US GAAP and company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance , or a related field.

- 2-5+ years of experience in US Accounting .

- Strong understanding of US GAAP .

- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop .





- Experience with accounting platforms such as NetSuite, Xero, Sage Intacct , or similar software is preferred.

- Strong knowledge of:

- Accounts Payable

- Accounts Receivable

- Payroll

- Bank Reconciliation

- Journal Entries

- General Ledger

- Financial Statements

- Month-end and year-end closing

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet reporting deadlines.

- Ability to work in US time zones when required .

Technology & AI Skills

- Be comfortable working with ChatGPT and other AI tools to improve research, documentation, analysis, and productivity.
- Have a robust self-learning mindset.
- Be willing to learn new accounting software, tools, and processes.
- Be able to independently research solutions when encountering unfamiliar accounting or licensing requirements.

Pay: ₹8,602.25 - ₹41,731.70 per month
