- Ingredient management : Inspect ingredients for freshness, prepare components by chopping and washing, and manage inventory to ensure proper stock levels.
- Quality and presentation : Ensure all dishes meet high standards for taste, consistency, and presentation, including garnishing and plating.
- Kitchen maintenance : Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area, equipment, and utensils in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Teamwork and leadership : Follow instructions from senior chefs, and for more senior roles, supervise and delegate tasks to other kitchen staff.
