Role Description The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities, including recording transactions, maintaining general ledgers, and reconciling bank and account balances. The role involves preparing financial statements, supporting tax return preparation, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations. The Staff Accountant will assist with accounts payable and receivable, monitor expense records, and support internal and external audits by organizing and providing required documentation.



The position also includes preparing reports for management, identifying discrepancies, and suggesting corrections to improve financial accuracy. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kollam, requiring consistent presence at the office to collaborate with colleagues and serve clients.
Qualifications

- Robust knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including spreadsheets, formulas, and data analysis.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks.
- Ability to understand and apply tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic auditing practices.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in an accounting or tax consultancy environment is preferred but not mandatory for strong entry-level candidates.
