Job Summary
The PGT Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Mathematics to senior secondary students (Classes XI & XII), ensuring academic excellence, and fostering analytical and problem-solving skills among learners.
Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Teach advanced topics such as Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Probability, and Coordinate Geometry.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching aids, and instructional materials.
- Conduct regular assessments, unit tests, and examinations.
- Evaluate answer scripts and provide constructive feedback to students.
Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
- Encourage student participation and critical thinking.
- Address individual learning needs and provide remedial support where required.
Student Development
- Monitor academic progress and maintain student records.
- Provide guidance for board exam preparation and competitive exams.
- Mentor students and support their overall academic growth.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain attendance records and academic documentation.
- Participate in staff meetings, training programs, and school events.
- Assist in curriculum development and academic planning.
Coordination & Communication
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student performance.
- Collaborate with other faculty members for interdisciplinary learning.
- Support school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications
- M.Sc. in Mathematics (mandatory)
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) (mandatory)
- Additional certifications in teaching or pedagogy will be an advantage
