- Key Responsibilities**
- Own and support PostgreSQL database administration and engineering activities across non-production and production-like environments, as applicable.
- Provide senior-level Oracle Administration support, including performance tuning, backup and recovery, patching, upgrades, troubleshooting, and operational health management.
- Handle KTLO activities such as monitoring, incident response, operational support, database maintenance, capacity review, and service reliability improvements.
- Partner with onshore teams for technical discussions, knowledge transition, requirement clarification, execution planning, and status reporting.
- Collaborate with cloud engineering teams on AWS infrastructure initiatives related to databases and adjacent cloud services.
- Design, build, and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code for database and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
- Create and enhance reusable Terraform modules, manage remote state, support environment provisioning, and assist with infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Participate in database modernization, migration, automation, resiliency, and platform standardization initiatives.
- Document operational procedures, engineering patterns, runbooks, troubleshooting steps,



and implementation notes.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to learn cloud engineering areas beyond core database technologies. - Mandatory Skills
- Strong hands-on PostgreSQL administration and engineering experience.
- Senior-level Oracle Administration experience, including production-grade operational support.
- Hands-on AWS Cloud experience, ideally beyond managed database services.
- Strong Terraform experience, including reusable modules, remote state management, workplace provisioning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Experience in KTLO, incident management, troubleshooting, and continuous operational improvement.
- Good communication skills and proven ability to work with distributed offshore-onshore teams. - Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Oracle Database administration experience.
- Exposure to DynamoDB or other NoSQL platforms.
- Experience with AWS services such as RDS, Aurora, DMS, IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, EC2, VPC, and S3.
- Scripting or automation experience using Shell, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, infrastructure deployment governance, and change management. **- 6 to 10+ years of relevant experience in database engineering, database administration, cloud infrastructure, or platform operations.
- Strong background in Indian IT Consulting / IT Services delivery environments with global client exposure.
- Ability to work independently, drive technical ownership, and manage priorities in a multi-stakeholder environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with focus on reliability, availability, performance, and security.
