Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Team Lead / Operations Manager to manage supply chain operations, with a focus on sourcing and procurement activities. The candidate will be responsible for leading a team, managing client relationships, monitoring operational performance, ensuring service delivery and quality, and handling escalations.

The role requires strong knowledge of supply chain management, contract administration, supplier coordination, and operational process management. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing domestic and international suppliers or customers while ensuring business objectives and contractual commitments are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supply Chain & Procurement Operations

- Manage day-to-day supply chain activities, particularly sourcing and procurement operations.

- Oversee procurement processes and ensure adherence to contractual requirements and internal policies.

- Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers and customers.

- Monitor delivery performance, quality standards, exceptions, and operational issues.

- Ensure procurement activities meet agreed operational, functional, and business objectives.

2. Team Management & Leadership

- Lead, motivate, and manage the operations team to achieve business targets.

- Allocate responsibilities and channelize workflow to ensure efficient operations.

- Monitor individual and team performance through regular reviews.

- Conduct employee assessments, provide feedback, and identify training needs.

- Support team development through process training, coaching, and performance improvement initiatives.

3. Client & Stakeholder Management





- Manage client relationships and ensure effective communication.

- Conduct regular operational reviews with clients, internal teams, and leadership.

- Understand client requirements and ensure timely delivery of services.

- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.

- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal business teams.

4. Performance & Quality Management

- Monitor delivery, quality, productivity, and service-level performance.

- Track operational KPIs and identify areas for improvement.

- Ensure accurate and timely execution of supply chain activities.

- Identify process gaps and implement corrective and preventive actions.

- Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and service quality.

5. Risk, Escalation & Exception Management

- Identify potential operational and supply chain risks and take appropriate preventive measures.

- Handle escalations and ensure timely issue resolution.

- Monitor exceptions and coordinate with relevant teams for closure.

- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and operational procedures.

- Support effective risk management and business continuity.

6. Contract Administration

- Support contract administration to ensure day-to-day procurement activities meet agreed requirements.

- Monitor contractual deliverables and ensure operational commitments are fulfilled.





- Work towards achieving business objectives while maintaining service quality and operational profitability.

Required Skills & Competencies

- 5–7+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management (SCM), sourcing, or procurement operations preferred.

- Experience in managing supply chain or procurement teams.

- Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement processes.

- Experience handling domestic and international suppliers or customers.

- Knowledge of contract administration and procurement operations.

- Strong team leadership, people management, and employee motivation skills.

- Ability to monitor operational performance, delivery, quality, and exceptions.

- Experience in client relationship management and stakeholder coordination.

- Strong escalation handling and problem-solving capabilities.

- Ability to identify operational risks and implement mitigation measures.

- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Education & Qualification

- Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in B.Com, BMS, BBA, or MBA.

- Relevant supply chain or procurement experience will be considered an important qualification.

Shift & Work Requirements

- Candidates must be flexible to work in rotational and night shifts.

- Must be comfortable managing a energetic, client-facing operations environment.
