Position : Lead EngineerDepartment : EngineeringReports To : AVP Engineering / Head of EngineeringAbout the Role : We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer- IC role with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, microservices, system design, Microsoft Azure, DevOps, and React. The role involves designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance applications, with end-to-end technical ownership and no people-management responsibilities.Key Responsibilities : - Design and develop backend services using Python, FastAPI, and REST APIs.- Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices-based applications.- Contribute to system design, architecture decisions, and performance optimization.- Develop and integrate frontend applications using React.- Deploy and manage cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure and AKS.- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and manage Docker/Kubernetes deployments.- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and production troubleshooting.- Integrate LLMs, RAG, and AI-enabled capabilities into applications.- Ensure code quality, security, automated testing, and engineering best practices.Must-Have Skills : - Strong hands-on experience with Python, FastAPI,



and REST API development.- Experience with microservices architecture and system design.- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and AKS.- Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.- Experience with application monitoring using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar tools.- Hands-on experience with React, JavaScript, or TypeScript.- Exposure to AI/LLM integration, RAG, or AI-enabled application development.- Experience building or maintaining SaaS or enterprise-scale applications.- Knowledge of relational/NoSQL databases, API security, and automated testing.Experience & Qualifications : - 3 - 7 years of professional software development experience.- Proven ability to independently design, develop, deploy, and support production applications.- Robust problem-solving, debugging, and technical ownership skills.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Role Type : Individual Contributor (Hands-on)Core Technologies : Python, FastAPI, REST APIs, Microservices, System Design, Azure, AKS, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, Monitoring, React, AI/LLM, RAG, Docker, Kubernetes (ref:hirist.tech)
