Key Responsibilities

Environment Operations & Support

- Provide operational support for Lower Environments across multiple platforms and applications.
- Monitor and maintain Environment health, availability, and performance.
- Investigate and resolve application, infrastructure, and middleware issues.
- Support Environment readiness activities for project testing and certification.
- Coordinate planned maintenance activities and production-like environment changes.

Release & Deployment Support

- Support code deployments, configuration changes, and Environment validation activities.
- Execute deployment checklists and post-deployment verification.
- Partner with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful releases.
- Support application onboarding and migration initiatives.

Incident & Problem Management

- Perform troubleshooting of Linux, Java, middleware, databases, and distributed applications.
- Analyze logs using Splunk and other monitoring platforms.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Participate in major incident management and service restoration activities.

Observability & Monitoring

- Develop and enhance monitoring solutions using Splunk, Grafana, and enterprise monitoring tools.
- Create dashboards, alerts, health checks, and operational reports.
- Identify proactive monitoring opportunities to reduce operational risk.
- Improve visibility into platform health, services, certificate validity, and synchronization processes.

Automation & Engineering Excellence

- Build automation solutions to reduce operational toil and manual effort.
- Develop scripts and tools using Python, Shell, Ansible,



and related technologies.
- Automate environment validation, health checks, deployment verification, and support processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency and reliability.

Infrastructure & Resiliency

- Support resiliency, disaster recovery, and multi-site initiatives.
- Identify and eliminate single points of failure.
- Partner with infrastructure teams on capacity planning and performance optimization.
- Contribute to cloud and Kubernetes operational readiness programs.

Required Skills

- 5-7 years of experience in Application Support, SRE, Workplace Support, or Platform Operations.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration experience.
- Experience with Java-based applications and JVM troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Splunk and/or Grafana.
- Experience with SQL and database troubleshooting.
- Scripting experience using Shell, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

- Kubernetes / PCF / Cloud platform experience.
- Ansible automation experience.
- Experience supporting distributed transaction processing systems.
- Knowledge of observability frameworks and monitoring best practices.
- Exposure to Agile and DevOps operating models.

Nice to Have

- Site Reliability Engineering experience.
- Financial services, payment processing, or transaction platform experience.
- Middleware technologies such as MQ, Tomcat, or JBOSS.
- Experience driving automation and operational transformation initiatives.
