The Mission

To support RateGain's DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering practices by helping engineering teams build, deploy, and operate secure, reliable, and scalable applications. This role focuses on hands-on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and production support while continuously improving engineering processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Support and improve CI/CD pipelines used for application build, testing, and deployment
- Work with engineering teams to adopt consistent DevOps practices and improve development and release workflows
- Assist in automating repetitive deployment and operational activities to improve engineering efficiency
- Maintain explicit technical documentation for deployment processes, infrastructure configurations, and operational procedures
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and work closely with platform and application engineering teams on DevOps/SRE tasks
- Work with cloud infrastructure and services across major cloud platforms, with GCP preferred
- Support infrastructure provisioning and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and related tools
- Monitor production systems and support troubleshooting of deployment, performance, and reliability issues
- Respond to production incidents as part of defined support and escalation processes
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and platform teams to support reliable and efficient releases

Preferred Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- 4-5 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, or Production Support
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred)
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools, automated build/deployment processes, and source control workflows
- Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation tools
- Strong understanding of Linux, networking fundamentals, scripting, and production troubleshooting
- Exposure to monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Basic understanding of cloud security, access management, disaster recovery, and infrastructure cost awareness
