Role: Power BI Developer

Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting

- Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
- Create interactive visualizations and KPI dashboards that support business reporting needs.
- Transform business requirements into meaningful reports and analytical solutions.
- Assist in the design and implementation of self-service reporting capabilities.

Data Modeling & Analytics

- Develop and maintain Power BI data models using industry best practices.
- Create and optimize calculations, measures, and KPIs using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
- Connect and integrate data from multiple sources, including:
- SQL Databases
- Excel Files
- Share Point
- Cloud-Based Data Sources
- Support data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance activities.

Report Development & Optimization

- Troubleshoot reporting issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Optimize dashboard performance and improve report usability.
- Assist with testing and validation activities to ensure report accuracy and reliability.
- Support report deployment and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Collaboration & Documentation

- Gather and document reporting requirements from business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and business users to deliver analytics solutions.
- Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for dashboards, reports, and data sources.
- Provide end-user support and basic training for Power BI reports and reporting tools.

Power BI & Reporting

- Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Understanding of data visualization principles and reporting best practices.
- Ability to create meaningful KPIs and business-focused visualizations.

Data Modeling & SQL

- Basic understanding of relational database concepts.
- Knowledge of data modeling principles.
- Experience using SQL for querying and analyzing data.
- Basic knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).

Data Analysis

- Experience working with datasets and performing basic data validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data quality.

Microsoft Tools

- Robust proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with data within Microsoft business applications.
- Experience with Power Query (M Language).

Familiarity with:

- Microsoft Fabric
- Azure Data Services
- Power Platform
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

Basic knowledge of:

- Python
- Power Shell
- Other scripting languages
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification or willingness to obtain certification.
