AWS Dev Ops Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced AWS Dev Ops Engineer to design, implement, automate, and operate secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role will focus on CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud platform engineering, containerization, monitoring, security, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will work closely with application development, cloud engineering, security, architecture, and operations teams to improve deployment automation, platform reliability, and developer productivity.

Key Responsibilities

AWS Cloud Engineering

- Design, deploy, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS.
- Manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EBS, ELB/ALB/NLB, Route 53, Lambda, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, SNS, SQS, ECR, ECS, and EKS.
- Implement multi-account and multi-workplace cloud architectures.
- Support development, testing, staging, and production AWS environments.
- Implement infrastructure following AWS Well-Architected principles.

CI/CD Engineering

- Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate application build, testing, security scanning, deployment, and rollback processes.
- Work with tools such as:
- Jenkins
- Git Hub Actions
- Git Lab CI/CD
- AWS Code Pipeline / Code Build / Code Deploy

- Implement deployment strategies including Blue-Green, Rolling and Canary deployments.
- Integrate automated testing and security controls into deployment pipelines.

Infrastructure as Code

- Develop reusable infrastructure modules using Terraform and/or AWS Cloud Formation.
- Automate provisioning and configuration of AWS infrastructure.
- Maintain Infrastructure as Code through Git-based version control.




- Implement appropriate Terraform state-management and module strategies.
- Establish IaC coding standards, peer reviews, testing, and deployment controls.

Containers & Kubernetes

- Build and manage containerized workloads using Docker.
- Deploy and operate applications using Amazon ECS and Amazon EKS.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments, services, ingress, Config Maps, secrets, autoscaling, and resource configurations.
- Support Helm-based application deployments.
- Troubleshoot Kubernetes and container platform issues.

Automation & Configuration Management

- Automate repetitive operational and infrastructure activities.
- Develop automation using Python, Bash and Power Shell as appropriate.
- Use configuration-management technologies such as Ansible where required.
- Develop reusable scripts and automation frameworks for cloud operations.

Monitoring & Observability

- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Configure Amazon Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail and AWS Config.
- Integrate enterprise monitoring platforms such as Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Develop dashboards and alerts for application and infrastructure health.
- Support root-cause analysis of production incidents.

Security & Compliance

- Implement AWS IAM roles and policies following the principle of least privilege.
- Manage secrets and credentials using AWS Secrets Manager and Systems Manager Parameter Store.
- Support encryption using AWS KMS.
- Implement security controls across networks, workloads, storage, and CI/CD pipelines.




- Integrate security scanning into Dev SecOps pipelines.
- Support vulnerability remediation, compliance requirements, and security audits.

Reliability & Operations

- Support highly available, fault-tolerant AWS environments.
- Participate in production incident management and problem resolution.
- Perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Implement backup and disaster-recovery solutions.
- Improve platform availability, scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
- Develop operational runbooks and technical documentation.
