Job Description:
JOB Time :
4 AM to 1 PM Pacific time zone to 4:30 PM to 1:30 AM Indian Time Zone
After November 2026 to March 2027
4 AM to 1 PM Pacific time zone to 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM Indian Time Zone
(Immediate Joiner)
What You'll Do
- Own monthly close and bookkeeping for an assigned client roster in QuickBooks Online, including bank and credit card reconciliations, categorization review, payroll and reimbursement tracking, and preparation of the firm's standard monthly financial package (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Management Summary, Reconciliation, Draw, Reimbursement Payable, Payroll, and Financial Summary tabs).
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065, applicable state returns), including K-1 preparation for partnership and S-corp clients, using the firm's tax software and review checklists.
- Reconcile books to tax return figures before filing — tying out trial balances, resolving Schedule M-1/M-2 differences, and flagging discrepancies rather than passing them through unexplained.
- Identify and flag proactive tax planning opportunities for clients during the year (entity structuring, retirement plan contributions, QBI positioning, R&D; credit eligibility, cost segregation, Augusta Rule use, and similar strategies already active in our client base) and bring them to the reviewing CPA rather than waiting for year-end.
- Maintain client-facing communication with a consultative, non-defensive tone — drafting client emails that explain what was found in a review, not just what was filed.
- Track your own workload and deadlines in the firm's task management system (Financial Cents) and Master Client List,
flagging blocked or client-dependent items rather than letting them go silent.
- Participate in daily check-ins and collaborate with the team primarily through Slack (each client has a dedicated channel) and Google Drive for document management.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in public accounting or a CPA firm environment, with meaningful hands-on exposure to both bookkeeping/write-up work and tax preparation (not exclusively one or the other).
- Working fluency in QuickBooks Online and standard tax preparation software; comfort learning firm-specific tools (Financial Cents, ADP for payroll-adjacent client work).
- Solid grasp of pass-through entity taxation (S-corp, partnership) and how book-to-tax differences arise — you should be comfortable explaining why a number on the return doesn't match the P&L;, not just entering data.
- CPA, EA, or actively pursuing licensure preferred; a CA (Chartered Accountant) background is also a strong fit given our team's composition.
Need to Have
- Quickbooks Experience
- Google Drive experience,
- Excellent Excel knowledge (sumifs, pivot tables, vlookups),
- Intuit ProConnect knowledge,
- US tax preparation history
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with clients in the creator economy, real estate investment, or small e-commerce businesses.
- Familiarity with R&D; tax credit studies, multi-state filings, or entity conversion work.
What We Offer
- Direct mentorship from the firm's founder and senior reviewers on complex returns rather than being left to figure it out alone.
- A growing firm where robust performers take on more client ownership quickly rather than waiting years for advancement.
Note : Candidates must be comfortable working independently in the office after 11:30 PM.
