As an Appian Developer - Senior Manager you will lead delivery of regulatory risk compliance solutions within our Risk and Compliance practice, focusing on client-facing Appian development work that helps organizations navigate regulatory requirements and strengthen internal controls. As a Senior Manager you will lead large projects, bring sound judgment to complex situations, and guide teams through ambiguity while shaping clear, practical solutions that support client needs and business goals. In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will oversee Appian design and delivery, advise on process improvements, communicate progress to stakeholders, and coach others to drive consistent execution across multiple work streams.

Responsibilities

- Demonstrated ability to set Appian architecture strategy and lead technical design, development standards, design authorities, architecture reviews, and delivery governance across multiple teams or engagements.

- Advanced proficiency in Appian, supported by a current Appian Lead Developer certification, together with a professional-level cloud certification from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Implement AI accelerators to streamline and expedite application delivery and support, while demonstrating strong proficiency in Appian’s AI capabilities and enhancements, as well as open-source AI frameworks such as Lang Chain and Lang Graph, to drive innovation, improve efficiency,



and deliver scalable AI powered solutions.

- Experience leading and successfully delivering one or more end-to-end Appian BPM implementations (Design/Develop/Deploy/Package)

- Leading Appian development workstreams for regulatory risk and compliance initiatives across managed services engagements
- Designing and configuring Appian solutions that support compliance workflows, case handling, and reporting needs
- Translating regulatory requirements into scalable process automation and application functionality
- Guiding teams through solution design, build, test, and deployment activities for client-facing platforms
- Collaborating with client stakeholders to gather requirements, validate priorities, and align delivery outcomes with compliance objectives
- Applying systems thinking to identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and opportunities for workflow improvement
- Reviewing technical delivery plans, managing dependencies, and resolving issues that affect project momentum
- Coaching team members on Appian development methods, code quality, and delivery discipline
- Integrating compliance, governance, and risk monitoring capabilities into platform designs
- Communicating progress, risks, and solution impacts to senior stakeholders in clear, concise language

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree (B.Tech/BE)
- At least 12 - 15 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

- 10+ years of experience working with Appian, including significant experience leading enterprise solution architecture, delivery teams, complex programs, and senior client stakeholders.

- Advanced knowledge of Process HQ, SAML,



SAIL interface design, process models, records, data fabrics, integrations, SQL databases, stored procedures, object oriented programming, and service-backed records.Strong understanding of Appian UX guidelines, plug-ins, rules engines, platform security, performance optimization, and reusable design patterns.

- Certifications Required: Current Appian Lead Developer certification and a professional-level cloud certification from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

- Experience leading Agile delivery at program and portfolio level, including investment planning, estimation governance, release strategy, dependency management, executive reporting, and continuous improvement.Set standards and provide design authority for Appian Records, including Record Types, relationships, security, Record Events, and related patterns, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and performant enterprise solutions.

- Executive leadership, strategic problem-solving, enterprise solution-design, commercial judgment, and decision-making skills. Manage executive client expectations, engagement economics, delivery commitments, competing priorities, and cross-functional dependencies across a portfolio of work.
