Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Fitter

Department: Production / Manufacturing / Maintenance

Job Summary

A Mechanical Assembly Fitter is responsible for assembling, fitting, installing, and maintaining mechanical components, machines, and equipment according to engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
Assemble mechanical components, machines, equipment, and subassemblies as per engineering drawings.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
Perform fitting operations such as drilling, tapping, grinding, filing, and deburring.
Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and precision tools.
Check dimensions, alignment, clearances, tolerances, and fitment of components.
Install bearings, shafts, gears, couplings, fasteners, and other mechanical parts.
Perform mechanical adjustments, troubleshooting, and basic repairs.
Inspect assembled components to ensure quality and proper functioning.
Follow safety procedures, housekeeping standards,



and company quality requirements.
Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to complete jobs on time.

Required Skills
Knowledge of mechanical assembly and fitting techniques.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
Experience using vernier calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Knowledge of mechanical tools, fasteners, bearings, shafts, and couplings.
Positive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to follow safety instructions and work as part of a team.

Qualifications and Experience
ITI in Fitter / Mechanical Trade or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Relevant experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial maintenance.

Pay: ₹9,900.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
