Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Commercial to oversee commercial operations in a steel plant. The candidate must have solid expertise in procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, cost control, and commercial operations within the steel industry.

Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day commercial operations and site activities.
Oversee procurement, purchase orders, vendor negotiations, and supplier relationships.
Handle commercial contracts, quotations, rate comparisons, and negotiations.
Monitor budgets, commercial expenses, and cost-control activities.
Coordinate with Finance, Accounts, Purchase, Stores, and Production departments.
Ensure timely processing of vendor bills, payments,



and commercial documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and commercial procedures.
Lead the commercial team and identify opportunities to reduce costs.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or a relevant field.
Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the steel industry is mandatory.
Robust knowledge of procurement, contracts, vendor management, and cost control.
Experience in steel plant or site-level commercial operations.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
Excellent negotiation, leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Preferred: Candidates who can join immediately or have a short notice period.
