Zlan Creations is looking for an experienced Node.js Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain scalable server-side systems for a mobile-first product.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop RESTful/GraphQL APIs for mobile and web clients
Design and maintain database schemas; write optimized queries
Implement caching strategies and secure authentication/authorization
Integrate third-party services — payment gateways, verification, notifications
Build and maintain admin-panel/backend tools
Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews
Collaborate closely with mobile/frontend developers on API contracts
Support deployment, monitoring, and scaling on cloud infrastructure
Required Skills
3–5 years of experience with Node.js (Express or NestJS)
Robust experience with PostgreSQL — schema design, indexing, query optimization
Experience with Redis or similar caching/session tools
Familiarity with JWT/OAuth-based authentication and secure API design
Working knowledge of AWS or GCP (EC2/ECS, S3, RDS)
Understanding of scalable system design — load balancing, horizontal scaling, queueing
Git-based version control and CI/CD familiarity
Positive to Have
Payment gateway integration and subscription/recurring billing experience
In-app purchase server-side validation (Apple/Google)
Experience with message queues (BullMQ, RabbitMQ)
Awareness of data protection and compliance best practices
