Role Description The Wirecut Operator/Programmer is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai. The role involves setting up, operating, and programming wirecut (wire EDM) machines to produce precision parts according to technical drawings and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting engineering drawings, preparing and loading workpieces, selecting appropriate cutting parameters, and monitoring machine operations to ensure accuracy and surface finish quality. The Wirecut Operator/Programmer will perform routine maintenance checks, troubleshoot basic machine issues, and maintain clean and organized work areas.



The role also includes working closely with supervisors and quality teams to meet production targets and comply with safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings and use basic measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Experience in operating and programming wirecut or wire EDM machines in a manufacturing or toolroom environment.
Knowledge of CNC machining principles, cutting parameters, and material properties relevant to precision components.
Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Basic computer literacy for handling machine interfaces, program input, and production documentation.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with production and quality teams on shop floor tasks.
Minimum vocational or technical qualification in machining, tool and die, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline; prior experience in wirecut operations is preferred.
Willingness to work on-site in Mumbai and adapt to shift schedules based on production requirements.
