Role Overview

Skills Development Network (Supported by Wadhwani Foundation)’s Micro Entrepreneurship Program supports retired soldiers in exploring, establishing, and growing micro-businesses in their native places. The Program SPOC will provide ongoing online handholding, facilitate access to relevant business resources and expert guidance, and help participants take actionable steps towards building sustainable micro-enterprises. The initial focus will be Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, with potential expansion to other regions.

Key Responsibilities
Entrepreneur Engagement and Handholding: Serve as the primary point of contact for retired soldiers, providing regular online support and follow-ups through WhatsApp, phone calls, and other digital channels.
Business Query Resolution and AI-Enabled Research: Understand business challenges and use AI tools and credible online resources to research business opportunities, government schemes, market information, and practical solutions related to business setup, operations, marketing, and growth.
Domain Expert and Ecosystem Coordination: Connect entrepreneurs with relevant domain experts, institutions, and support organizations for specialized guidance, ensuring appropriate follow-up.




Action Planning and Progress Monitoring: Help entrepreneurs identify actionable next steps, track progress, and follow up on agreed actions towards business initiation, operational improvement, or growth.
Digital Resources and Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain FAQs, guidance notes, and relevant business resources to address recurring queries and improve participant support.
Program Tracking and Reporting: Maintain records of participant engagement, business queries, referrals, and progress; prepare periodic updates on outcomes, recurring challenges, and prospects to improve program delivery.

Qualifications and Experience
Graduate in any discipline; business, commerce, or management qualifications are an advantage.
Approximately 2–5 years of experience in program coordination, customer success, relationship management, business development, or entrepreneurship support.
Experience supporting micro-businesses, entrepreneurs, livelihood program, or community initiatives is desirable.
Familiarity with AI tools, online research, WhatsApp, spreadsheets, and digital communication platforms.
