Role Description The AI Data Annotation Specialist will work on-site at our Bengaluru South office in a full-time capacity. This role involves reviewing, labeling, and annotating audio, video, text, and image data to train and improve AI models that power FRND's social discovery experiences. The specialist will follow detailed annotation guidelines, maintain high accuracy and consistency, and provide feedback on guideline improvements and edge cases.



Day-to-day responsibilities include working with internal tools, collaborating with product and AI teams to understand data requirements, and meeting productivity and quality targets. The role may also involve participating in quality audits, documenting issues, and helping refine workflows for scalable and ethical data labeling.
Qualifications

- Strong attention to detail, pattern recognition, and ability to follow structured annotation guidelines with high accuracy.
- Comfort working with audio, video, text, and image data, including content in multiple Indic languages (knowledge of at least one Indic language is a plus).
- Basic technical proficiency, including working with web-based tools, spreadsheets, and dashboards; familiarity with AI or machine learning concepts is beneficial.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive content responsibly, and adhere to trust, privacy, and safety standards.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.
- Prior experience in data annotation, content moderation, customer support, or operations in a tech product environment is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree or relevant diploma preferred; candidates with strong skills and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru South and meet defined productivity and quality metrics.
