About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Science Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable machine learning and AI architectures within our Credit FinTech ecosystem. In this onsite role in Bengaluru, you will define the technical vision for our data science platforms, translating complex credit risk and lending challenges into enterprise-grade AI solutions. You will bridge the gap between advanced predictive modeling and scalable software engineering, ensuring our credit decisioning engines operate with high availability, fairness, and strict regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
• Architectural Leadership: Define and own the end-to-end data science architecture, building scalable machine learning pipelines, event-driven integrations (e.g., Kafka), and real-time inference engines for high-volume financial transactions.
• Credit & Risk AI: Architect advanced quantitative models for credit underwriting, fraud detection, and operational optimization, utilizing both traditional financial data and alternative data streams.
• GenAI & Next-Gen Analytics: Design scalable AI and GenAI solutions leveraging LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, and vector databases to enhance credit analytics and customer insights.
• MLOps & Governance: Establish robust MLOps practices, model governance frameworks, and data lineage standards. Implement strict explainability (SHAP, LIME), bias/fairness testing, and model risk controls to meet financial regulatory requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with product,



engineering, and data teams to transition AI use cases from discovery and Proof of Concept (PoC) into highly optimized, production-ready microservices and APIs.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor a high-performing team of data scientists and machine learning engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and engineering excellence. Required Qualifications
•

Experience:
10+ years of proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data science and AI/ML solutions, with at least 3+ years in an architectural or technical leadership capacity.
• Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of FinTech, digital banking, or the lending space. Familiarity with credit lifecycles, risk modeling, underwriting processes, and financial regulatory compliance (e.g., KYC, AML).
• Programming & Data: Expert-level proficiency in Python, SQL, and Shell Scripting, with a robust foundation in data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing.
• Cloud & Big Data: Hands-on expertise with AWS, GCP, or Azure, alongside modern data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and PySpark.
• Machine Learning Ecosystem: Deep knowledge of modern ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) and MLOps tools (Kubeflow, MLflow, Airflow).
