About The Prospect You’ll join the Commerce Integrations team, designing and building EDI mappings and partner integration workflows for our trading partners. You’ll work with AWS and Temporal to develop reliable, scalable translation services, and with the business to onboard and support partner connections. Responsibilities
• Design and build backend services in Golang and Java for EDI translation, validation, routing and acknowledgments.
• Build durable, fault-tolerant Temporal workflows for order-to-cash and procure-to-pay document flows, covering retries, compensation, versioning and long-running processes.
• Build and migrate per-partner EDI maps for X12 transactions: 850, 860, 855, 856, 997, with later work on 810, 820, 832, 846 and 753/754.
• Move existing partner maps from Sterling to the new platform with no changes on the partner side ("lift and shift").
• Build internal web tools for monitoring transactions, viewing errors and reprocessing failed documents.
• Deploy and run services on AWS EKS. Use S3 for document storage and archiving, and design data models in relational and NoSQL databases.
• Own production support for your flows: observability, alerting and root-cause analysis on EDI failures.
• Work with BSAs, ERP and supply chain teams, and external trading partners to clarify requirements and test. Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of backend development in Golang and Java.
• Hands-on production experience with Temporal: workflow and activity design, idempotency,



versioning and scaling workers.
• AWS experience, especially EKS/Kubernetes, S3, IAM and SQS/SNS or similar.
• Strong database

skills:
PostgreSQL/MySQL, plus DynamoDB or another NoSQL store; schema design and query tuning.
• Front-end experience with React/TypeScript for internal tools.
• Working knowledge of EDI (ANSI X12): segment and loop structure, envelopes (ISA/GS/ST), 997 acknowledgments and partner-specific mapping.
• Event-driven architecture (Kafka).
• CI/CD, Docker, Git and testing practices (unit, integration, contract). Nice To Have Skills
• Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling map conversion, 4GL or OpenText / SPS Commerce VANs.
• ERP integration experience (Oracle, SAP or similar), especially order management and supply chain.
• EDIFACT, AS2 or SFTP partner connectivity.
• Experience in retail, wholesale or e-commerce supply chains.
