Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site role for a Data Protection Officer (DPO) based in Bengaluru. The DPO will oversee data privacy and protection practices, monitor compliance with applicable data protection and cyber laws, and advise on regulatory requirements and privacy risks. Daily responsibilities include reviewing and updating privacy policies, conducting privacy impact and risk assessments, coordinating responses to data subject requests, and supporting incident and breach management processes. The role involves drafting and reviewing data processing agreements, training staff on data protection obligations, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of privacy and information security controls. The DPO will also track regulatory developments and best practices, and prepare reports for leadership on compliance status and risk mitigation. Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of Data Privacy and Privacy Compliance frameworks, including applicable national and international data protection regulations.
• Experience with Regulatory Compliance, especially in cyber law, information security,



and sector-specific requirements.
• Background in Law with the ability to interpret, apply, and communicate legal requirements related to data protection and cyber regulations.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing, and implementing Privacy Policies and related governance documentation.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Law, Information Security, or a related field; specialized certifications in data protection or privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, DPO certifications) are an advantage.
• Experience in data protection roles, compliance, or information security within law firms, consulting, or corporate environments.
• Solid analytical, risk assessment, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and sound judgment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical, legal, and business teams, and communicate complex requirements in clear, practical terms.
• High ethical standards, commitment to confidentiality, and readiness to stay current with emerging cyber law and privacy developments.
