Job Summary:
We are looking for a Web Infrastructure Engineer I to join our IT Infrastructure team and support a 24x7 highly available production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in F5 Load Balancing, F5 LTM/GTM, Web Application Firewall (WAF), BIG-IP DNS, Windows Server, IIS, Akamai CDN, DNS and network troubleshooting.
The role requires a technically strong and self-motivated professional who can independently troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, implement technical solutions and support critical production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, configure and maintain F5 Load Balancer appliances.
- Architect, configure and manage F5 Local Traffic Manager (LTM).
- Develop and maintain F5 iRules for application traffic management.
- Configure and manage F5 Global Traffic Manager (GTM) and DNS services.
- Manage Traffic Director rules and traffic-routing configurations.
- Administer Akamai technologies, including CDN, Site Shield, API & App Protector and DNS.
- Manage PKI, SSL/TLS certificates and certificate lifecycle.
- Manage DNS using Windows DNS, F5 GTM and Akamai DNS.
- Monitor, investigate and respond to WAF and DDoS alerts.
- Support Windows Server 2012/2016 or newer environments.
- Support IIS web servers and .NET-based web applications.
- Troubleshoot network and application connectivity issues using tcpdump, Wireshark and other diagnostic tools.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and identify, isolate and resolve technical issues.
- Design,
test and implement complex infrastructure solutions and architectures.
- Lead technical initiatives, infrastructure projects and new implementations.
- Work with external vendors and consultants to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution.
- Respond to production alerts, incidents and infrastructure alarms within defined SLAs.
- Maintain high availability, performance and reliability of critical web infrastructure.
- Automate routine administration and operational tasks wherever possible.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively in a high-pressure production environment.
Required Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in Windows Server Administration
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with F5 LTM
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with F5 GTM
- Strong understanding of F5 Load Balancing
- Experience with F5 iRules
- Experience with WAF and DDoS protection
- Experience supporting IIS Web Servers
- Understanding of .NET web applications
- Experience with VMware vSphere
- Experience with Akamai CDN, Site Shield, API & App Protector and DNS
- Strong knowledge of DNS
- Experience with PKI and SSL/TLS certificate management
- Hands-on experience with tcpdump and Wireshark
- Solid understanding of OSI and TCP/IP networking models
- Good knowledge of LAN/WAN, switching, routing and network security
- Understanding of Layer 4 - 7 networking, firewalls and DDoS concepts
