Role Description The Paravet is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, supporting veterinary professionals in delivering high-quality animal care. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting veterinarians during consultations and procedures, handling and restraining animals safely, and performing routine clinical tasks such as sample collection, basic wound care, and administering treatments under supervision.

The Paravet will help maintain medical records, support client communication by explaining care instructions, and provide guidance on preventive healthcare and follow-up visits. Additional duties involve ensuring cleanliness and safety of clinical areas, monitoring inventory of medical supplies,



and collaborating with the wider team to improve workflow and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in animal health, anatomy, and basic veterinary procedures; diploma or certification in veterinary nursing/animal husbandry or related field preferred.
- Skills in animal handling, restraint, and monitoring of behavior and vital signs, with a focus on safety and welfare.
- Ability to perform routine clinical tasks such as sample collection, basic dressing changes, and administering prescribed medications under supervision.
- Competence in maintaining accurate medical records, organizing documentation, and following clinical protocols and guidelines.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and veterinary teams, explain care instructions clearly, and show empathy in stressful situations.
- Basic computer literacy for clinic management software, scheduling, and documentation; willingness to learn digital tools used by VetXplore’s partner clinics.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and capacity to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, including occasional extended or weekend hours as needed.
- Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, openness to feedback, and commitment to ongoing career development in veterinary practice.
- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic, hospital, or animal care facility is an advantage, but motivated early-career candidates may also be considered.
