Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Supply Chain to manage the procurement of functional ingredients and raw materials for our food business. The candidate should have a strong understanding of food ingredients, raw material sourcing, procurement processes, and supplier management, along with excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Raw Material Procurement: Manage end-to-end procurement of functional ingredients and raw materials, ensuring timely availability as per business and R&D; requirements.
2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers for functional ingredients while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
3. Commercial Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and other commercial terms to achieve cost-effective procurement.
4. Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate closely with R&D;, Quality, Production, and other internal stakeholders to understand raw material specifications and procurement requirements.

Market Research: Track market trends, raw material availability, pricing movements, and identify alternative sourcing opportunities.
6. Procurement Planning: Ensure timely procurement, optimum inventory levels, and uninterrupted availability of critical raw materials.

Mandatory Eligibility Criteria
- Education: Must be a graduate from the National Institute of Food Technology (NIFTEM).
- Preferred Qualification: B. Tech in Food Technology / Food Science or a relevant food-related discipline.
- Experience: Relevant experience in Raw Material (RM) Procurement, preferably in the food or FMCG industry.
- Functional Knowledge: Good understanding of functional food ingredients, raw material sourcing, and procurement processes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
