Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Fleet Management Executive / Manager with a background in the transportation or logistics industry.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in fleet management, vehicle coordination, transportation costing, and vendor management. A strong understanding of transportation fares and freight rates across different states in India is essential for this role.

The candidate will be responsible for managing fleet operations, coordinating vehicle movements, monitoring transportation costs, and ensuring smooth and cost-effective transportation activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and coordinate day-to-day fleet and transportation operations.
- Plan and monitor vehicle movement, route allocation, and transportation schedules.
- Coordinate with drivers, transporters, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain records of vehicle availability, utilization, running, and maintenance.
- Monitor transportation expenses and ensure efficient fleet utilization.
- Maintain updated knowledge of transportation fares and freight rates across different states in India.
- Analyze state-wise transportation rates and prepare comparative cost analysis.
- Negotiate with transport vendors to obtain competitive transportation rates.
- Coordinate vehicle deployment as per operational requirements.
- Maintain vehicle-related documentation, including permits, insurance, fitness certificates,



and other statutory records.
- Track vehicle performance and identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs.
- Prepare regular reports related to fleet operations, transportation costs, and vehicle utilization.
- Ensure timely execution of transportation activities and resolve operational issues.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a transportation, logistics, or fleet management company.
- Strong knowledge of fleet operations and vehicle management.
- Good understanding of transportation fares, freight rates, and route-wise costing across different states in India.
- Knowledge of transportation routes, distance calculations, and vehicle operating costs.
- Experience in vendor coordination and rate negotiation.
- Valuable communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and transportation-related reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple operational activities efficiently.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be practical, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing transportation operations. Candidates with experience in maintaining state-wise transportation rate databases and negotiating freight rates will be preferred.
