About the opportunity

We are hiring a GM / AVP – M&A; for a leading renewable energy platform based in Gurgaon, with a growing portfolio across solar, wind, hybrid, and storage. The organization is scaling rapidly, with acquisitions a key lever for growth. This is a high-impact, buy-side focused role for a deal qualified who can own the M&A; lifecycle, from target screening and valuation through to closure and integration.

Key responsibilities

Acquisition sourcing & evaluation

- Identify, screen, and evaluate acquisition targets across operating assets, under-construction projects, and platform opportunities
- Build and maintain a strong M&A; pipeline aligned with the organisation's growth strategy
- Prepare investment papers and present recommendations to the Investment Committee and Board

Valuation & due diligence

- Lead valuation of projects and platforms using detailed financial models, covering tariffs, generation, capex, and returns
- Run commercial, technical, financial, legal, and regulatory due diligence with internal teams and external advisors
- Assess project risks,



counterparty exposure, and financing viability early in the evaluation process

Deal structuring & execution

- Structure transactions and lead negotiations with sellers, including SPA and key commercial terms
- Drive condition precedent satisfaction through to deal closure
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and lender teams to deliver transactions on time

Post-deal integration

- Lead the integration of acquired assets and platforms into the organisation
- Work with operations, finance, and asset management teams on handover and value realisation

Ideal candidate

- 10-12 years of experience in M&A;, corporate development, investment banking, with significant buy-side exposure
- Strong background in renewable energy or power sector transactions preferred
- Hands-on experience in acquisition target assessment, project valuation, financial modelling, and due diligence
- Based in or open to relocating to Gurgaon
