We're looking for an IT Support Intern to join our Information Technology team on-site at our office for 3–5 months, with the possibility of conversion to a full-time IT Support Engineer role.

In this role, you'll help keep our people and engineering teams running smoothly. You'll provide day-to-day IT support across operating systems and Microsoft 365, and support the workstations, servers and lab equipment our engineering teams rely on. You'll also help manage devices and assets, roll out security and device management tools, and maintain IT documentation, all while learning side by side with experienced engineers.

Key responsibilities

- IT support: Own first-line support for staff across Windows, macOS, Linux and Microsoft 365, resolving or escalating tickets within SLA.

- Deep-tech hardware support: Support the workstations, GPU systems, servers and lab equipment our engineering and R&D; teams depend on, working alongside the IT engineers.

- Device lifecycle and assets: Manage onboarding and offboarding, and keep the asset and license records for all hardware accurate.

- Endpoint and cloud: Help roll out MFA, device management and backups across Microsoft 365 and Intune.





- Security: Help monitor security alerts and drive security awareness in a defence-facing environment.

- Documentation: Maintain SOPs and evidence for our IT roadmap and ISO readiness.

Requirements

What we're looking for:

- A degree in Computer Science or a related field

- Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, PC hardware and networking basics

- Familiarity with Microsoft 365

- Clear communication and patience with non-technical users

- Strong attention to detail

An interest in cybersecurity, hardware or high-performance computing is a plus.
