- Die Maker / Tooling Engineer

- Qualification Required: Diploma / Post Diploma in Tool &

- Die Making or Tool Design from NTTF

- Industry Focus: Sheet Metal Stamping, Press Working, and Automotive/Consumer Goods Manufacturing

- Die &

- Press Tool Manufacturing:

- Build, assemble, and test progressive dies, compound dies, drawing dies, and blanking dies.

- Interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications. [1, 2, 3, 4]

- Machining &

- Precision Operations:

- Operate conventional and CNC machines (lathes, surface grinders, Milling, EDM/Wire-EDM) to shape tool steels to high-tolerance accuracy.

- Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, slip gauges) to verify component dimensions. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

- Trial &

- Process Optimization:

- Attend tool trials on power/hydraulic presses, check sheet metal parts against quality standards (burrs, springback,



dimensional accuracy), and perform die spotting or shimming.

- Optimize press parameters and troubleshoot sheet metal forming defects (wrinkling, cracking, thinning, or misalignment).

- Maintenance &

- Breakdown Resolution:

- Conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance of stamping dies on the shop floor.

- Sharpen punches and dies, replace worn inserts, and manage spare parts inventory for tooling. [1, 2]

- Design &

- Documentation:

- Collaborate with the R&D;/Design team using CAD/CAM software (such as AutoCAD, Siemens NX, Fusion 360, or Mastercam) for tool modifications.

- Maintain history cards, trial reports, and tool life tracking documents

- Exp: 0-2 years

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
