We are looking for a talented, motivated and skilled API Developer with hands-on experience in building RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and JSON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining high-quality APIs that are secure, scalable, and performant. Familiarity with CI/CD processes, Git, and API gateways like Apigee is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
- Design API contracts using JSON and follow best practices for error handling and versioning.
- Collaborate with different teams for seamless integration and deployment.
- Implement API security using OAuth2, JWT, and API keys.
- Manage code in Git repositories and follow branching strategies.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Jenkins or equivalent tools.
- Work with API gateways like Apigee for proxy creation, traffic management, and analytics.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation.
- Provide production support, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
Mandatory Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in Java and Spring Boot for REST API development.
- Proficiency in working with JSON, HTTP methods, and RESTful design principles.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins,Git, and Maven/Gradle.
- Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization.
- Experience deploying services on OpenShift(OCP).
- Exposure to Apigee or similar API management tools.
- Positive understanding of API security standards and best practices
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Kafka and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
- Knowledge of end-to-end tracing and observability tools and application performance monitoring
- Experience with tools like SonarQube
- Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation
- Basic understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its applications in software testing and automation.
- Familiarity with AI-powered testing tools, Generative AI (GenAI), and intelligent automation concepts.
