Role Overview – PD Merchandiser The role involves working closely with international buyers, design and product development teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure products are developed and delivered in line with buyer requirements, quality standards, target costs, and agreed timelines. The candidate will drive day-to-day merchandising operations, including interpreting buyer briefs, coordinating product development, sourcing fabrics and trims, managing sampling, preparing costings, negotiating with vendors. At Maveneco, the role requires a strong understanding of the fashion supply chain, attention to product and commercial details, proactive communication, and the ability to manage multiple styles simultaneously. The merchandiser will play a key role in ensuring smooth coordination between buyers and factories while maintaining Maveneco’s focus on responsible sourcing, product quality, operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
* Product Development: Understand buyer briefs, develop products in line with design specifications, and coordinate with design and technical teams to ensure accurate product execution.




* Fabric & Trim Sourcing: Identify suitable fabrics, trims, and raw materials in line with buyer requirements, target pricing, quality expectations,
* Sampling Management: Coordinate proto samples, fit samples, approvals while ensuring timely submissions and buyer feedback.
* Costing & Pricing: Prepare detailed product costings, work with vendors to achieve target prices, negotiate commercial terms, and maintain costing records.
* Buyer Coordination: Manage day-to-day communication with international buyers, respond to queries, share development updates, and ensure timely follow-ups on approvals and decisions.
* Vendor & Factory Management: Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners on development, pricing, capacity, material availability, and production requirements.
* Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of tech packs, costing sheets, sample status. Qualifications & Skills
* Degree in Fashion, Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
* Relevant experience in fashion merchandising, product development, sourcing, or export buying houses.
* Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, garment costing, and production processes.
* Experience handling international buyers, vendors, and manufacturing partners is an advantage.
* Good understanding of sampling processes, tech packs, BOMs, purchase orders, and TNA calendars.
* Robust negotiation, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, spreadsheets, and merchandising or production tracking systems.
* Ability to manage multiple product categories, styles, and orders simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail, ownership, and a proactive approach to follow-ups and issue resolution.
