About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Data Engineer to lead the architecture and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms supporting large-scale analytics, AI initiatives, and business-critical decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in modern data engineering, cloud technologies, data lakehouse architectures, and real-time data processing while driving technical strategy and mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect scalable, enterprise-grade data solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Build and optimize large-scale data platforms using Snowflake, AWS, Apache Kafka, and Apache Iceberg.
- Lead implementation of real-time data pipelines and event-driven architectures.
- Drive data warehouse optimization, cloud cost management, and performance tuning.
- Develop and enhance lakehouse, dimensional modeling, and analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute data strategy.
- Mentor senior engineers and guide architectural decision-making across teams.
- Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple engineering groups.
- Support advanced analytics, AI/ML use cases, and data governance initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience




- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience building large-scale data platforms.
- Expert-level SQL and Python programming skills.
- Strong experience with Snowflake, including architecture, optimization, and cost management.
- Expertise in Apache Kafka, Apache Iceberg, AWS, DBT/SQLMesh, and up-to-date data stack technologies.
- Proven experience designing Kimball dimensional models and star-schema data warehouses.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and data governance frameworks.
- Knowledge of GDPR, PCI-DSS, and enterprise data compliance standards.
- Experience working with high-volume data environments processing billions of events.
- Exposure to AI/ML ecosystems, MLOps, LLM integrations, and vector databases is preferred.
- Experience in cybersecurity, ad-tech, subscription-based businesses, or similar large-scale data environments is a plus.
