Role: Sr. Professional Risk & Policy - LAP (BFSI)

Location: Gurugram, Haryana

Reporting To: Business Head – Risk & Policy

Key Responsibilities:

- Own the overall LAP portfolio performance, balancing business growth with risk management.
- Design, implement, and review credit policies in line with business objectives, regulatory changes, and market trends.
- Identify risk-calibrated growth opportunities through portfolio analysis, industry trends, and market intelligence.
- Develop underwriting frameworks, eligibility criteria, sectoral risk appetite, and policy structures for new lending programs.
- Drive process improvements, digitization, and automation to improve TAT and customer experience while managing credit risks.
- Monitor portfolio performance, early warning signals, risk concentration, and business inflows; recommend policy interventions.
- Maintain credit policy documentation and ensure effective implementation across Sales, Credit, and Operations.
- Strengthen verification, underwriting, and post-disbursement monitoring processes, including Stock Audits, PDD, Escrow, and Charge Creation.




- Provide policy and risk inputs for business partnerships and digital lending initiatives.
- Monitor underwriter performance, authority delegations, and policy adherence.
- Work closely with Sales, Credit, Product, Operations, Finance, and Compliance teams.
- Lead the Risk & Policy team and manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 14+ years of experience, with relevant experience in LAP Policy and Risk Management.
- Solid understanding of MSME lending, LAP product frameworks, eligibility assessment, underwriting, and associated credit risks.
- Experience in credit policy design, documentation, portfolio monitoring, and risk management.
- Knowledge of industry practices, competitive policies, regulatory developments, and verification methodologies.
- Experience in digitization, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong data management and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, team management, and ownership skills.

Qualification: MBA / B Com (Hons.) / CA.
