Estimation Engineer – HVAC

About the Role

We are looking for an Estimation Engineer – HVAC with 1+ years of experience in preparing cost estimates and techno-commercial proposals for commercial and residential HVAC projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to VRV/VRF, Chilled Water and other HVAC systems, along with a positive understanding of HVAC design.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare detailed HVAC estimates, BOQs and techno-commercial quotations for commercial and residential projects.

· Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and scope of work to identify project requirements.

· Prepare estimates for VRV/VRF, Chilled Water and other HVAC systems.

· Analyse HVAC drawings and coordinate with the design/project team for technical clarifications.

· Evaluate material quantities, equipment requirements, labour and installation costs.

· Obtain and compare vendor/subcontractor quotations and ensure competitive pricing.

· Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals for clients.

· Estimate ducting, piping, insulation, controls, electrical requirements and HVAC accessories.

· Coordinate with sales, design,



procurement and project teams during estimation and pre-bid stages.

· Conduct site visits when required to understand project conditions and scope.

· Maintain estimation records, costing data and vendor databases.

· Support value engineering and cost optimisation without compromising technical requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or relevant HVAC qualification.

· Minimum 1-2 years of experience in HVAC estimation.

· Experience handling commercial and residential HVAC projects.

· Good knowledge of VRV/VRF, Chilled Water and other HVAC systems.

· Good understanding of HVAC design principles, equipment selection and system requirements.

· Ability to read and interpret HVAC layouts, schematics, BOQs and technical specifications.

· Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD.

· Positive analytical, numerical and negotiation skills.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.

· Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in HVAC contracting, MEP consultancy or HVAC project estimation will be preferred.
