Job Opening: Senior Accountant – Jewellery & International Trade

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in accounting, taxation and financial management, along with a genuine interest in the jewellery industry and international trade.

We are looking for someone keen to understand the jewellery business, particularly its import and export operations, and who is enthusiastic about learning the financial and operational aspects of the industry.

Candidates with prior experience in jewellery, gems and jewellery trading, imports and exports, or manufacturing will be preferred. However, candidates from other industries who demonstrate an eagerness to learn and adapt are equally welcome.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle purchase, sales, expenses, invoicing and payment entries.
- Manage GST, TDS, statutory compliances and tax-related documentation.
- Handle bank reconciliations, ledger scrutiny and accounts payable/receivable.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory and stock-related accounts.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and MIS reporting.
- Handle documentation and accounting related to import and export transactions.
- Maintain records of international payments,



foreign currency transactions and related banking documentation.
- Coordinate with banks, customs agents, freight forwarders and external Chartered Accountants wherever required.
- Assist with audits, taxation and accounts finalisation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- B.Com/ M.Com / Inter CA graduate with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel.
- Good understanding of GST, TDS, taxation and accounting principles.
- Experience in independently managing accounting operations.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to understand and learn industry-specific accounting and operational processes.
