Job Summary

The Steward is responsible for delivering a pleasant dining experience to leisure travelers, families, and corporate guests. This role involves greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, setting up tables, and ensuring strict adherence to cleanliness and hygiene protocols in both the dining and service areas.

Key Duties & Responsibilities1. Guest Service & Table Management

- Greeting & Seating: Welcome leisure tourists and hotel guests warmly, present menus, and escort them to their tables.
- Order Taking: Maintain strong menu knowledge to assist guests with food/beverage queries and accurately record orders.
- Table Setup: Set tables with clean linen, runners, plates, polished cutlery, and proper glassware before each service.
- Food & Beverage Service: Collect prepared dishes from the kitchen and serve them to tables in a timely, polite, and organized manner.
- Clearance: Promptly clear used plates, dirty dishware, and empty glasses after guests finish their meals.

2. Station & Cleanliness Maintenance

- Side Stations: Setup, organize, and restock the waiter side stations with fresh napkins, extra cutlery, ice, and condiments.
- Hygiene Compliance: Wipe down tables, polish equipment, and sweep or mop the restaurant floor to keep the dining area presentable.
- Linen & Utensil Care: Coordinate with the housekeeping department to exchange dirty linens for fresh ones,



and handle glassware carefully to minimize breakage.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

- Education: Minimum of 10th or 12th pass; a basic certificate/craft course or diploma in Hotel Management (F&B; Service) is highly preferred.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience in a restaurant or hotel setup (Freshers with relevant training are often considered for entry-level roles, we also hire fresher on 5000 / month as a trainee if they want to learn and grow in hotel industry).

- Skills:
- Basic conversational Hindi and functional English to communicate with domestic and international tourists.
- Solid physical stamina to remain on your feet, carry service trays, and manage high-volume shifts during tourist weekends.
- A neat, well-groomed personal appearance matching hotel hospitality standards.

Typical Remuneration & Perks in Mussoorie

- Salary Range: ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 per month for entry-to-mid level roles, heavily depending on experience and interview performance.

- Perks: Most On-duty meals, uniforms, and occasionally staff accommodation/lodging due to the hilly terrain.
