Job Description

The Accounting Manager serves as the accounting lead for Neology PSquare-India, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, supervising accounting staff, managing month-end close activities, and supporting financial reporting requirements. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an experienced accounting qualified who can quickly assume responsibility with minimal onboarding.

A key objective of this role is to strengthen the company internal accounting capabilities, and improve accounting processes. The position works closely with the U.S. Corporate Accounting, management, external advisors, and operational teams while maintaining internal ownership of accounting activities, documentation, and reporting support. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong leadership, communication, analytical, and organizational skills who can effectively manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Professional Competencies

- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting practices and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; exposure to multinational reporting environments is preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and the ability to apply them to complex transactions, reconciliations, revenue recognition, financial analysis, and accounting classifications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet strict deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Technical Accounting

- Strong knowledge of Indian accounting practices.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with: General Ledger management, Journal Entries, Revenue Recognition, Revenue Accruals, Expense Accruals, Bank Reconciliations, Prepaid Expenses, Project Accounting, Project Costing, Asset Capitalization, Fixed Assets, Depreciation, Lease Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Financial Analysis

Systems & Technology

- Advanced hands-on experience with Zoho books required.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:
- Pivot Tables, Pivot Charts, XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIF / SUMIFS, etc. o Financial reporting and analytical models.

Communication

- Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

- Ability to independently lead meetings and present accounting analyses.

- Ability to communicate effectively with U.S.-based Corporate Accounting and Finance teams.

Education qualification requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- Examples include: B. Com (equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business), BBA (Finance), Accounting Degree, Finance Degree, etc.

Experience

- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting
- Experience in IT, software, technology services, engineering, or professional services environments.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
