ABOUT US

Inventaa Hitech is a precision injection moulding unit with 10 moulding machines and an in-house tool room. It is part of the Inventaa Group, a ZED Gold certified manufacturer. We supply automotive Tier-1 customers and are now moving to supply OEMs and Tier-1/Tier-2 customers directly, including tractor and automotive majors. We are setting up a quality system to IATF 16949 standard and need a leader to build it and own it.

ROLE SUMMARY

You will own product and system quality end to end: design and launch of the quality system, IATF 16949 certification, customer approvals, and day-to-day defect control. You will set up the systems, train the team, and represent the plant to customers and auditors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality system and certification

- Build the plant's quality management system to IATF 16949:2016 and lead it to certification: gap analysis, documentation, internal audits, management review, Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits
- Maintain ISO 9001 and handle customer-specific requirements (CSRs) and supplier quality manuals from each OEM
- Drive the core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA (AIAG-VDA), control plans, MSA and SPC

Customer quality

- Act as the single quality contact for OEM and Tier-1 customers
- Prepare and submit PPAP and ISIR, and handle customer audits, scorecards and supplier ratings
- Close customer complaints using 8D, root-cause analysis (5-Why, Ishikawa) and poka-yoke, within customer timelines
- Bring customer PPM and line rejections down to target and keep them there

Process and product quality

- Set inspection standards for first-off, in-process,



final and pre-dispatch inspection (PDI)
- Control moulding defects such as short shots, sink marks, flash, warpage, flow lines, silver streaks, burn marks and dimensional drift
- Work with the tool room on mould validation, trial reports and mould change control
- Set up process validation and process-parameter control with the moulding team: drying, resin handling and regrind policy
- Run the plant's rejection and scrap analysis, and report cost of poor quality (COPQ) monthly in rupees

Supplier and incoming quality

- Approve and audit resin, masterbatch and insert suppliers, and run incoming inspection
- Handle supplier PPAP, certificates of analysis and corrective actions

Lab and metrology

- Set up and run the quality lab: gauges, CMM / vision measuring system, calibration plan, and MSA (GR&R;)
- Arrange material and product tests as customers require (MFI, ash content, impact, dimensional and functional tests)

People

- Lead, hire and train quality engineers and inspectors; build a quality culture on the shop floor
- Train operators and supervisors on work instructions, defect awareness and layered process audits

REQUIREMENTS

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Plastics Technology,



or a CIPET diploma or postgraduate qualification
- 12–18 years in quality, mainly in automotive plastic injection moulding
- Has led at least one IATF 16949 (or TS 16949) certification or recertification, hands-on
- Solid command of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D and control plans
- Has worked directly with automotive or tractor OEMs on PPAP approval, audits and complaint closure
- Sound knowledge of engineering plastics (PP, ABS, PC, PA6/PA66, POM) and moulding process–defect behaviour
- Can read and apply GD&T; on drawings
- Comfortable with ERP-based quality records and data-driven reporting in Excel
- Good English for customer communication; Tamil preferred

PREFERRED

- IATF 16949 internal / lead auditor certification
- Exposure to tractor, two-wheeler or passenger-car OEM supplier systems (supplier portals, ratings, CSRs)
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
- Has worked in a plant with an in-house tool room
