TARS makes leather bags and accessories for brands at our factory in Erode, Tamil Nadu. We are looking for a hands-on leader to run the unit end to end, covering the sampling room, the production floor and quality, so every bag we make at scale matches the approved sample.

Pay: Based on experience. Negotiable depending on skills and experience.

What you will do
- Lead the unit day to day: people, machines, materials, output and cost.
- Run the sampling division, turning briefs, sketches and tech packs into patterns, prototypes and approved samples quickly and accurately.
- Make each approved sample production-ready: construction, materials, consumption, operations and time per piece.
- Plan and run the floor from cutting, skiving and stitching to edge finishing, assembly and packing, so orders ship on time.
- Set quality checks at every stage, from leather inspection to final audit, and fix the root causes of defects.
- Raise output and cut waste through better leather yield, line layout, work methods and machine care.
- Train and build the team of pattern makers, sample makers, supervisors and operators.
- Work with sales,



purchasing and costing so promises to buyers match what the floor can deliver, and keep the unit ready for buyer and certification audits.

What you bring
- 10 years or more in bag or leather goods manufacturing, including several years leading a sampling room and a production floor.
- Expert knowledge of patterns, construction, leathers, hardware and bag-making machines.
- Experience making for brands or for export, to their quality standards and audits.
- A degree or diploma in leather goods, footwear or fashion technology (for example FDDI, NIFT or CLRI) is preferred.
- Comfortable leading people and working with plans and numbers.
