Kindergarten Team Leader

Position Overview

Rainbow School is seeking a dynamic, experienced and child-centred Kindergarten Team Leader to lead its Early Years team.

The ideal candidate will bring strong pedagogical knowledge, leadership capabilities and a deep understanding of early childhood development. The role requires someone who can inspire teachers, strengthen classroom practices, ensure curriculum quality and create an enriching setting where young learners feel confident, curious and supported.

Key Responsibilities

1. Academic & Pedagogical Leadership

- Lead the planning and implementation of the Kindergarten curriculum.
- Promote play-based, inquiry-driven and experiential learning approaches.
- Ensure age-appropriate teaching methodologies and meaningful learning experiences.
- Monitor curriculum implementation and classroom effectiveness.
- Ensure alignment between learning objectives, classroom activities and developmental outcomes.

2. Team Leadership & Teacher Development

- Lead, guide and mentor Kindergarten teachers and support staff.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback.
- Organise teacher training, professional development and collaborative planning sessions.
- Build a positive, accountable and collaborative team culture.
- Support new teachers through induction and mentoring.

3. Child Development & Wellbeing

- Monitor children's developmental progress across cognitive, physical, social, emotional and language domains.
- Ensure individual learning needs are recognised and addressed.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, stimulating and emotionally supportive environment.
- Encourage independence, creativity, communication and exploration.

4. Parent Engagement

- Establish positive and professional relationships with parents.
- Facilitate parent interactions and address concerns appropriately.




- Communicate children's developmental progress effectively.
- Encourage meaningful home-school partnerships.

5. Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

- Coordinate daily Kindergarten operations.
- Monitor classroom readiness, learning resources and teaching materials.
- Maintain academic documentation and developmental records.
- Ensure adherence to school policies, safety procedures and child protection guidelines.
- Collaborate with the school leadership team for continuous improvement.

Eligibility & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Montessori Education, Child Development or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant professional qualification in Early Childhood Education / ECCE / Montessori is preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in Kindergarten or Early Years education.
- Prior experience in a Team Leader, Coordinator or equivalent leadership position is preferred.
- Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and developmental milestones.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team management skills.
- Ability to mentor educators and drive academic excellence.
