Position Overview:

Chubb is looking for a Mainframe + Distributed Systems Engineer to design, develop, and support applications across legacy and modern platforms. The role involves integrating mainframe and distributed systems, resolving production issues, and ensuring application stability and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in mainframe technologies, distributed systems, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop,



and support applications across mainframe and distributed environments.
- Work on integration between legacy mainframe systems and modern distributed platforms.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform coding, testing, debugging, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, infrastructure, and QA.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and security.
- Support incident resolution, root cause analysis, and problem management.

- 6 to 12 years of relevant experience in mainframe and distributed systems.
- Strong experience in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM.
- Experience with distributed technologies such as Java, .NET, APIs, SQL, or related platforms.
- Good understanding of batch and online processing.
- Experience with system integration and data flow between mainframe and distributed systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work in production support and development environments.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
