Job Description – Production In-charge— Loose Furniture & Modular

Company: FOID – Incarved Interior Pvt. Ltd.
Department: Production
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: Minimum 3 Years
Shift Timings: 9:30 AM- 6:30 AM
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Production In-Charge to plan and guide the making of high-quality furniture and modular cabinetry. You’ll coordinate work across carpentry, woodworking, upholstery, paint, and modular cabinet teams, helping designers and production teams turn drawings into finished pieces with care and precision.

You’ll also bring structure to the production floor: planning work, keeping teams and vendors aligned, checking quality, and making sure every item is packed properly and ready for delivery.

What you’ll be responsible for:

Plan and coordinate production:

- Prepare production plans and schedules for sofas, beds, chairs, loose furniture, and modular cabinets.

- Coordinate daily work across carpentry, woodworking, upholstery, paint, and modular cabinet departments.

- Track progress, identify delays or bottlenecks, and help teams keep work moving smoothly.

- Coordinate with external vendors when needed, especially for metal and stone work.

Review designs and plan for feasibility:

- Review drawings, design files, specifications, and finishes before production begins.

- Check whether each design can be made with the available materials, methods, and workshop capabilities.

- Identify technical challenges early and suggest practical solutions.

- Work with designers and department teams to explain how to achieve the intended design, dimensions, and finish.

- Flag missing or unclear information before it leads to production issues.

Build an organized production floor:

- Establish clear processes, work sequences, and responsibilities across departments.

- Create a disciplined, safe, and well-organized flow of work.

- Keep teams informed about priorities, timelines, and handovers between stages.

- Encourage explicit communication and accountability across the production team.

Maintain quality and prepare for delivery:

- Set up structured quality checks at key stages of production.

- Check that finished work matches the drawings, specifications, and agreed finish standards.

- Address defects or deviations promptly with the relevant teams.

- Ensure furniture is properly protected, packed, labelled, and ready for dispatch.

What we’re looking for:

- Experience managing or coordinating furniture production, preferably across both loose furniture and modular cabinetry.

- Practical understanding of carpentry, woodworking, upholstery, paint, and furniture finishing.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, design files, dimensions, and specifications.

- Strong technical judgment and confidence assessing design feasibility.

- Experience planning production schedules and coordinating multiple teams.

- Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with designers, workshop teams, and vendors.

- A structured, quality-focused approach and the confidence to keep production moving.

What success looks like:

- Designs are reviewed for feasibility before work begins.

- Teams understand the drawings, required finishes, priorities, and handovers.

- Production runs to a clear plan, with delays and issues addressed early.

- Quality is checked consistently throughout the process.

- Finished pieces are packed carefully and are ready for delivery on schedule.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of how furniture is made—from the first review of a design to the final quality check and packing. You’ll work closely with creative and production teams, solve practical challenges, and help build a workshop where good planning, clear processes, and excellent craftsmanship go hand in hand.

In simpler points

- Plan production for sofas, beds, chairs, loose furniture, and modular cabinets.

- Coordinate carpentry, woodworking, upholstery, paint, and modular cabinet departments.

- Review designs and technical files before production starts.

- Help designers and production teams understand how to achieve the design and finish.

- Check technical feasibility and identify production challenges early.

- Coordinate external vendors, especially for metal and stone work.

- Create clear production processes and a disciplined workflow.

- Maintain strong quality checks.

- Ensure finished furniture is packed in a structured and protective way.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
