Depot Manager

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Depot Manager to manage our day-to-day warehouse and depot operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing inventory, warehouse staff, dispatches, customer coordination, and overall operational efficiency.

The role requires good leadership, strong operational knowledge, and the ability to manage teams while ensuring that all work is completed on time and as per company procedures.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in warehouse or logistics operations, team management, MIS reporting, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manage daily warehouse and depot operations, ensuring smooth and timely functioning.
- Lead and supervise warehouse staff, supervisors, DEOs, and other support teams.
- Ensure proper handling of goods, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
- Ensure timely dispatches and deliveries as per customer requirements and agreed timelines.
- Follow company SOPs, safety guidelines, and customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, transporters, vendors, and internal teams for smooth operations.




- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports using Advanced MS Excel.
- Plan manpower, monitor attendance, improve team productivity, and manage overall performance.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure compliance with 5S, EHS, PPE, fire safety, and security standards.
- Handle customer audits and internal audits and ensure that all observations are closed on time.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and improve work processes.
- Handle customer complaints and operational issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Train and guide team members to improve their performance and ensure proper implementation of company policies and SOPs.

Requirements & Skills :

- 3–6 years of experience in Warehouse, Logistics, 3PL, FMCG, or Paint industry operations.
- Positive understanding of warehouse management, inventory control, and dispatch processes.
- Experience in handling and managing a team of 20–50 or more employees.
- Good knowledge of Advanced MS Excel, ERP/WMS, and MIS reporting.
- Understanding of warehouse KPIs, stock management, and operational processes.
- Good communication skills, email drafting, and coordination abilities.
- Ability to handle customer meetings, audits, complaints, and operational challenges.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to take timely decisions.
- Willingness to travel whenever required for operational support and customer visits.
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and focused on achieving operational targets.
