1. Academic & Technical Qualifications

- BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications) from a recognized university.
- B.Sc. in Computer Science / Information Technology (IT).
- B.E. or B.Tech. in Computer Science / Information Technology (CS/IT).
- DOEACC 'A' or 'B' Level certification from the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, along with a graduation degree. [1, 2, 3, 4]

2. Professional Qualifications & Statutory Requirements

- B.Ed. Degree: A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from an NCTE-recognized institution is mandatory for TGT posts in most regular CBSE schools. (Note: In some specific government bodies like KVS/NVS, a B.Ed. can sometimes be waived or listed as desirable if you hold a 4-year integrated B.Tech CS degree, but private CBSE schools almost universally mandate it). - CTET / STET (Paper II): While historically not strictly imposed on computer teachers, clearing Paper II of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) or a state equivalency test is increasingly mandatory or highly preferred under National Education Policy (NEP) directives for teaching middle school (Classes 6 to 8) and high school. Subject-Matter & Technical CompetencyA TGT Computer Science teacher is expected to have solid command over:

- Core Concepts: Computer fundamentals, operating systems, networking basics, database management (SQL), and digital literacy. [1, 2, 3]
- Programming Basics: Foundation knowledge in coding languages like Python, Scratch, or HTML/CSS, which are embedded into middle and secondary school curricula. [1, 2]
- Skill Education: Familiarity with modern CBSE skill modules such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Coding, and Data Science for classes 6–8.

4. General Core Responsibilities

- Teaching Computer Science and Information & Communication Technology (ICT) to Classes 6 to 10.
- Managing, upgrading, and maintaining Computer Lab resources while ensuring cyber safety and proper student discipline.
- Spearheading school tech requirements, such as assisting with online school management portals, digital examinations, smart-board setups, and school websites.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
