• Standardise CNC programming practices to maximise repeatability, reduce errors, and ensure secure operation.
• Define tooling, work-holding, and setup requirements to support efficient production.
• Work closely with machinists, engineers, and production staff to ensure seamless handover of programs to the shop floor.
• Analyse and continuously improve CNC machining processes to reduce cycle times, scrap, and tooling costs.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) by creating and validating CNC programs for prototype and production parts.
• Maintain accurate documentation of programs, setup sheets, and process notes.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to deliver process improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to company safety standards and regulatory requirements at all times.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machining and offline programming using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam, Edgecam, or equivalent).
• Skilled in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Understanding of cutting tool technology, machining strategies, and work-holding methods.
• Familiar with G-code, machine control systems (Fanuc).
• Practical understanding of lean principles, set-up reduction, and process optimisation.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
