Job Description – Ontology Tech Lead Experience: 8+ Years

Employment Type: Contract (12–18 Months) Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Ontology Tech Lead with strong expertise in Ontology Engineering, Knowledge Graphs, Graph Databases, and Python. The candidate will lead the design and development of semantic data models, manage graph-based solutions, and drive data integration while guiding the technical team. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic data models. • Define entities, attributes, relationships, and business rules for complex data structures. • Design and develop knowledge graphs using Graph Database technologies. • Use Python for data processing, transformation, validation, and automation. • Integrate data from multiple sources into ontology models and graph-based systems. • Establish ontology modelling standards and ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy. • Lead technical discussions, review solutions, and mentor team members. • Collaborate with data engineers, architects,



and business stakeholders to understand requirements. • Oversee graph querying, troubleshooting, optimization, and technical documentation. Required Skills • 8+ years of experience in relevant data engineering, data modelling, or ontology-related roles. • Strong hands-on experience in Ontology Engineering, Ontology Modelling, and Knowledge Graph development. • Experience with Graph Databases such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or similar. • Strong Python programming skills. • Understanding of RDF, RDFS, OWL, and SPARQL. • Strong knowledge of Semantic Data Modelling, Entity Relationships, and Metadata Management. • Experience in data integration and graph data modelling. • Technical leadership and team mentoring experience. Valuable to Have • Experience with ontology tools such as Protégé. • Exposure to RDF Triple Stores and Knowledge Graph pipelines. • Knowledge of APIs, ETL, and large-scale data processing.
