We are building a recent device software team in Bangalore to power the next generation of Amazon connected devices. As a wireless software engineer on our new Bangalore device software team, you will bring up new wireless capabilities and build new features. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Alexa Devices and Alexa Cloud teams to define roadmaps, plan requirements, make prioritization trade-offs, and feature development. You will partner with principal engineers to brainstorm solutions, solve problems, and deliver features.

Key job responsibilities
Integrate, optimize, and maintain Wi-Fi and BLE protocol stacks on device platforms

Debug and resolve wireless connectivity issues: throughput, range, coexistence, roaming

Work with antenna engineers on matching network tuning and radiation pattern optimization

Implement and test mesh networking protocols (BLE Mesh, Wi-Fi EasyMesh)

Optimize wireless power consumption through duty cycling, listen intervals, and wake patterns

Develop RF test automation scripts for production line calibration and testing

Support regulatory certification testing (FCC, CE, BIS, TELEC) for wireless subsystems

Our services handle tens of billions of transactions daily. This is a highly visible role spanning inception, feature development, and partnering closely with tier-1 Cloud Services.
