Location:
Bangalore (Work from Office) We are currently seeking a Data and Tax Analyst to join our Tax Team, with a focus on specialized expertise in the Vertex tax system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing tax-related data, ensuring compliance, and optimizing tax strategies through effective use of Vertex.

Key Responsibilities
• Vertex Tax System Management: Responsible for overseeing and maintaining the Vertex tax software, ensuring accurate configuration and seamless integration with financial systems.
• Tax Code Updates: Monitor and implement changes in tax codes within the Vertex system to ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations. This includes staying informed about tax rate changes and jurisdictional tax data updates.
• Tax Data Analysis: Utilize SQL to extract and analyze tax data, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for tax optimization.
• Compliance and Reporting: Utilize Vertex to prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax regulations and deadlines.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tax calculations and reporting within the Vertex system.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to tax data management and reporting processes within Vertex to increase efficiency and accuracy.




• Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with finance, legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of Vertex within the broader financial ecosystem. Qualifications
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

Skills:
• Proficiency in Vertex tax software, including configuration and maintenance.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with ERP systems and their integration with tax software.
• Analytical

Ability to interpret complex tax data and provide actionable insights.
