• $60–$120 per hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Under 20 hours a week, you choose when Apply your mathematical expertise to paid tasks that test AI systems, on a versatile schedule. AI companies need mathematicians to test their systems on real mathematical and computational work. For the project, you will develop and work through advanced tasks, assess them, and convert the mathematical specifications behind them into procedures that can be executed exactly. With Python and command-line tools, you will run calculations, numerical experiments and parameter sweeps, checking results for mathematical correctness, numerical accuracy and reproducibility. This is that work, done remotely around your schedule.

What you'll do
• Develop and solve advanced tasks in mathematics and computation
• Review mathematical and computational problems and confirm their validity
• Turn mathematical specifications into exact, executable procedures
• Build workflows for calculations and result validation, using parameter sweeps, visualizations and numerical experiments Why this is worth your time
• Earn $60–$120 an hour equivalent, paid per accepted task
• Apply your mathematical reasoning to advanced problems in mathematics and computation
• Build reproducible workflows for calculations, experiments and result validation
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute Who this is for
• A qualifying advanced degree is an MS or PhD in one of the following:

Theoretical Computer Science, Computational Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics or Mathematics. A quantitative field closely related to these areas also qualifies at this level. The bachelor's route requires a BS in Mathematics, or a degree in a quantitative field closely related to mathematics. It also requires professional or research experience that is mathematics-focused, totaling 1 to 2 years
• Fluent in English
• Demonstrated knowledge of one or more of these areas: applied mathematics, probability, geometry, optimization, discrete mathematics, numerical analysis, algebra, statistics, dynamical systems or mathematical modeling. Practical Python experience applying automation, running experiments, and validating mathematical computations
• No AI experience needed. Pay and details
• $60–$120 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor
• Part-time, under 20 hours a week; fully remote, India

How to apply
1. Apply on OpenTrain (about two minutes). 2. Complete the application on the hiring platform. 3. If shortlisted, take a conversational AI interview with technical questions and a coding challenge, whenever it suits you.
